The Enchanted Forest 2026

Join us for this one-week day camp! This year, your day camper will learn all about the magic of the forest. Along with traditional camp activities, such as archery, crafts, games, swimming, and boating, girls will explore the flora, fauna, and fun mystical elements of our wonderful forests. Think fairies, elves, flowers, trees, and woodland animals.

Camp is for girls entering 1st-12th grade in the fall of 2026. Girls entering 1st-6th grade in the fall of 2026 participate as campers. Visit our website for more information about campers. Girls entering grades 7th and 8th in the fall of 2025 participate as caddies in training, and girls entering grades 9th-12th in the fall of 2026 participate as caddies. The Enchanted Forest Day Camp will take place July 20th-24th 2026 at Camp Lakamaga. We are planning two bus stops this year.

Minneapolis(Carondelet Catholic School Upper Campus: 3210 W. 51st Street) at 7:30am Monday-Thursday and return ~6:15pm Monday-Thursday. It will return Friday at ~11:15am after the overnight.
Oakdale(Holy Cross Lutheran Church: 6355 10th St. N.) at 8:00am Monday-Thursday and return ~5:45pm Monday-Thursday. It will return Friday at ~10:45am after the overnight.

Girls entering 2nd grade in the fall of 2026 and up may participate in an overnight Thursday evening.

Beaver Lake Service Unit Day Camp is for registered members of Girl Scouts of the United States of America. However we welcome everyone. All you need to do is register for a Girl Scout membership. You are able to register for GSUSA as an individual or part of a troop through the Girl Scouts of River Valleys Council at (800) 845-0787(easiest way to register) or on their website at https://www.girlscoutsrv.org/en/about-girl-scouts/join.html . Scholarships are available. Then continue to register for camp here.

In order to volunteer at a Beaver Lake Service Unit Day Camp you must be a registered adult volunteer of Girl Scouts of the United States of America. You are able to register for GSUSA as an individual or part of a troop through the Girl Scouts of River Valleys council at (800) 845-0787(easiest way to register) or on their website at https://mygs.girlscouts.org/volunteer . Please make sure you choose an adult volunteer role so you are sent a background check. Scholarships are available. Then continue to register for camp here.

The CIT/Caddie's schedule is below. If you are not able to attend all the days listed you will need to contact our CIT/Caddie Director at [email protected] and get permission to register.

Required Our Camp Specific CIT/Caddie Orientation will be seperated into two sessions. You must attend one of each session. Please mark your calandars and plan on attending these two sessions.

Session 1: Either May 2 9am-11am or May 16 9am-11am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Oakdale.

Session 2: Either June 6 9am-11am or June 20 9am-11am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Oakdale.

On Thursday 7/23 we will have an overnight campout for Girls in grades 2 and up. Girls in Grades 2 and 3 sleep in buildings and girls in grades 4 and up sleep in tents.

Unit Placements and Friend Requests - Girls are placed in units with other girls of similar age. We attempt to place girls together in units with at least one friend. Due to logistics and safety ratios we cannot guarantee entire troops will be together. In addition, please double check the grade you registered as, we can not guarantee your camper will be in a unit with girls from her grade if the wrong grade was entered. It is very difficult to change units once camp has started. The grade you register as should be the grade you are entering next fall(Fall 2026). We hope that BLSU Day Camp is a place to form new friendships. We thank you for your understanding!

Permissions

This health form is complete and accurate. I know of no reason(s), other than the information indicated on this form, why my child or I should not participate in the prescribed activities except as noted. In the event that my child or I need medical attention while participating in Girl Scout activities, I authorize the adult in charge to see that my child or I receive routine healthcare, medications, reasonable first aid and to transportation to a health care facility for emergency services as needed. I give permission for my child to receive necessary medical treatment at area hospitals/medical centers or from the Day Camp Health Supervisor or designee.

Cookie Credits and Fall Funds

You may use Cookie Credits and Fall Funds to help pay for camp. You may use any unexpired Cookie Credits or Fall Funds you currently have or you may use your anticipated Cookie Credits for the 2026 cookie season. Please indicate how many $5 cookie credits you plan on using and they will be deducted from your camp fee. We will follow up with a form for you to enter the electronic codes for your e-cookie credits or fall funds. Please note we are asking everyone to pay at least $5 of camp tuition with a credit card. If you do not submit your cookie credits or your cookie credits do not cover your balance due we will charge this credit card the balance on July 1st, 2026.

Volunteer Information

Beaver Lake Service Unit Day Camp is volunteer run. Camp requires approximately 20 volunteers each summer. Please consider volunteering! We offer discounts for full and part time volunteers. Please see the info below to determine if you qualify for discounts.

A volunteer that works full days all five days of camp including the Thursday overnight (note: Camp is finished by 10:00am Friday) will receive a discount of $120 towards their camper's fee. If you can commit to working all five days of camp including the overnight, please enter coupon code VOLUNTEERFT below before you save registrant and then complete a volunteer registration.

A volunteer that works three or four full days at camp will receive an $70 discount towards their camper's fee. If you can commit to working three or four days please enter coupon code VOLUNTEERPT below before you save registrant and then complete a volunteer registration.

A volunteer that works one or two days is a very valuable part of the team and we appreciate any time people can commit to helping our camp run smoothly. We do not offer discounts for volunteers working one or two days, but you will receive a camp t-shirt and we promise you'll enjoy the smiles you see on all the Girl Scout faces!
